Slowly getting ideas for my next book.  I have wonderful wood, some leather and some poems.  But sometimes the overall idea is slow to form.  Guess I'll just keep staring at it until I know where to begin.  Practiced calligraphy for four hours yesterday.

Thought I'd decorate, add some color

A Home Without Books Is Like
A House Without Windows.

From the BA-BR series
D Gangl is the BEST!!!   I was at wits end searching how to possibly cut the 200 insets for my Shrub-Steppe books and he helped me out.   He built me a jig.  It's magic.  I now have a new router, a nifty jig that is quick and perfect.  Truly, I stopped just short of sobbing with gratitude.

I'll spend two hours today speaking to students at a Kennewick Middle School about Book Arts.  Great fun.

Working on a new book.  Wood cover, irregular shaped pages.  Now to find the perfect quotes for the content.  Must be about nature.
Also found a new book on Book Arts at the museum in La Conner this week.  Will share this at the next meeting.
Trying to practice calligraphy 1 to 2 hours a day. . .

Welcome to the new blog. This is only bare-bones basics to get us started. Those interested in design of the blog can request to become an administrator. Perhaps we can have a design team to limit confusion. Once you have accepted the invitation to join, all members, even without being administrators, are able and welcome to generate new content, add pictures, etc. Here are two blogs you can visit to get an idea of how a blog might look/work/feel. http://art-a-day.blogspot.com/ and http://lauragable.blogspot.com/
